There is No School on June 19th!
COURSE PREREQUISITE: Students must be 15 years of age before June 27 in order to enroll. Students must have a passing grade in at least 8 courses during the previous 2 semesters.
NOTE: A separate check for $20 made payable to the Secretary of State will be due on the first day of class for the student’s state permit.
Fee Waivers: Those who qualify for a free lunch waiver are also eligible for a Summer School fee waiver. Course registration will still take place online but the box must be checked on the registration to indicate that you qualify for the waiver.
Attendance Policy: Because of the compact and accelerated nature of summer school classes, it is vital that students attend every day.
- Only one absence per session is allowed. Any student who is absent twice within a session, regardless of the reason, will forfeit the credit and fees and be dismissed from the class.
- Tardies (10 minutes or less) – 3 tardies will count as ½ day absence
- Late (more than 10 minutes) – will count as ½ day absence
Course Availability: All courses require a sufficient number of student registrants. If there is not sufficient interest in a particular course or a teacher cannot be hired then the course will not be provided during summer school.
Course Enrollment: There will be a cap of 25 students per class (depending on the class) on a first-come-first-served basis. Once a course has reached maximum enrollment a waiting list will then be started. Payment secures your place in a course.
Refunds: All fees will be refunded if a course is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or a teacher cannot be hired. One-half the tuition will be refunded if a student cancels before May 30. There will be no full refunds.
